Joseph is an Assistant Instructor of Kids at Thurston Martial Arts and Thurston Academy of Martial Arts. Joe is also a mentor and coach of the Thurston Martial Arts Competition Team and is a Regional, National and World Competitor himself.

What an awesome place to train! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and motivating, and you will never leave a class without dripping in sweat. Not only is this physical exercise, it's mental as well. I've only been taking Allison's kickboxing class for a few months now and I'm so happy with how I look and how I feel. Not only that, but I love working out with such an encouraging and supportive group of people.
I've been with this academy for almost 4 years now and I have nothing but positive things to say. The owners, instructors and students create such an inviting aura, that you feel motivated and inspired every time you walk on the mats. Not only are Sensei Joe and Sensei Alison mentors and friends, I consider their family as an extension of my own. They are constantly giving and asking for very little in return. All the dedicated students that train there know that they are getting only the best information and training. I have seen myself grow and evolve from someone who could barely touch their toes to a confident young women who could defend herself if the situation were ever presented. Every single class that I go to; I ALWAYS learn something new, am motivated to work hard and leave with a smile on my face. That's only scratching the surface. I wholeheartedly believe that Thurston Academy of Martial Arts in both Kingston and Hanover are amazing and well deserving schools of praise. If you believe in them as much as I do, please spread the word.
I've been at Thurston for a little over a year now and I cannot imagine my life without it!! Alison is an amazing instructor who cares for her students as well as kicks your butt!! Kickboxing is not only the best workout I've had but have met the most amazing people! I highly recommend any of the classes at Thurston, the instructors are incredible!
